Ok, I'm sure this is gonna sound dumb :) But have you checked the obvious, like their vision? My eyes and my sons have been extremely dilated after medication. Not eye medication, just for instance, cold medication or something. But they are not normally huge like that...

This is kind of random, and could mean nothing at all, but I have recently noticed that both of my girls (3-years-old) have dilated pupils almost all the time. What could this mean? The most recent changes I have made are giving 1 drop per day of Lugols iodine and doing the low-ox diet. Other than that, they are on pretty normal supps: multi-vitamin, CLO, probiotic, cal, mag, zinc. Thanks in advance for any thoughts/ideas.

They have both been to an ophthalmologist, but not recently. This is definitely recent - maybe only a week or two. I notice it when it's bright and when it's dark so that's not it either. If it continues, I'll take them back to the eye dr. It's just strange that they both have it happening at the same time. I'm going to experiment by taking out the iodine for a day or two to see if that's what's doing it. They seem fine otherwise - it's just strange.- Kirk-To: mb12 valtrex From: bellbaby@...Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2011 20:19:56 -0500Subject: Re: Dilated Pupils

Our DAN Dr. Told me, when my sons had dilated pupils, that it was a sign if Hg &

heavy metals in the body.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own

understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

My son had dilated pupils during strong phenol reactions, and Feingold Diet

resolved this. We talked to our DAN! about it and he said it can also be a sign

of pain, as the eyes dilate in response to pain. There are probably several

different things that can cause it, and I know it is common in ASD kids.

Well, with all these different causes it would appear it really is a symptom of

autism ;-)
