Guest guest
Hmmmm. I wonder where she would have told a woman where to stick herself! When I was a working RN, I volunteered for the Red Cross blood bank and we used to get blood samples from people’s ear lobes to check the ehmatocrit level before taking blood. Everyone said it did not hurt at all and was better than a finger stick. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Cy Selfridge Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2012 7:05 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Different sites for different folks? Markie, I have to tell you, this email is a classic. I suppose I have now heard just about everything. I'm here to let you ladies and gentlemen know right now, I told that lady she had to be joking? she said no and it was in the book she had and she could show me, but well I couldn't see it. I have you know I told that lady if my finger didn't put out enough blood for the test, then I wasn't going to poke my ear loaf and I damn sure wasn't going to poke the end of my manhood! I thought that lady was full of cow poop, but later I read the very same thing she told me in a book about diabetes I ordered from the Library! I can't even begin to think of any man doing this! he most certainly would have to be off his nut or a bit in love with pain. just the thought of the ear loaf is enough to make my ears hurt right now, but the other thought isn't feeling good at all right now and I never give it a second passing thought! crazy, just to crazy! I'm starting to think now that I give it some serious thought, the author of that book I bet was a female! probably a divorced female at that! using the test salution? So far in 2 weeks I haven't tested my meter with the test solution. mainly the reason for this is the 2 bottles I got are both 2 years out dated. now where do I get a new bottle? plus how much should I test my meter with the solution? best I recall with out looking, that each bottle of strips has a range as where the test should be if it is correct? am I correct or wrong about this? I'm wondering because this morning my first test said my sugar was 98. ok this I know was wrong. so I try again. this time it was 138. this could be right, but tried again and the third time was 121. I'm going with the 138 because this is closer to where it runs first thing of a morning. makes me wonder if all the other days are coming out like this morning? 2 weeks ago I did take it at home before going to see the specialist and his 140 test was very close to my reading before of 137. I know these meters will never always be right and there is a ten% or higher error in our readings either way. well anyway I suppose I just need to get a new bottle of test solution at my drug store is where I will look first. I believe the instruction said to test once a week, but it has been a few years since I looked at that disk.

Guest guest
maybe if I was like paralyzed from the waste down? but certainly never hope to find out. maybe if my choices were blood from the third sight or paralyzed, I would I know than choose the third sight, but I believe I may need lots of strong drink first and maybe a few joints of some good red hair so it will be just so funny! using the test salution? Guest guest
Hi Mark, Not me! A man would have to be a few frys shy of a Happy meal to even consider such a possibility. >There are many theoretical possibilities, and >most are practical absurdities. Guest guest
no argument from me on that! since it was ten years ago when I was told and seen it in a book, maybe it has been removed now after no man in his right mind would even try. just had to be a man hater that wrote that in a book. maybe he was a guy that she worked hard and many years to put through med school, only to have him divorce her after he got a fine job in a big hospital. then she got back at him and men in general by putting this in her book on diabetes. maybe when she mentioned the man hood parts for getting blood for the sugar test, this is exactly the name she was calling her x at that time! Yes I'm all most certain it had to be a female who wrote that book. using the test salution? > >So far in 2 weeks I haven't tested my meter with the test solution. mainly >the reason for this is the 2 bottles I got are both 2 years out dated. now >where do I get a new bottle? plus how much should I test my meter with the >solution? best I recall with out looking, that each bottle of strips has a >range as where the test should be if it is correct? am I correct or wrong >about this?
