Re: Sweet to 'finish' a meal

April, 'finishing with a sweet is a common occurrence for me too. I attribute it

to my eating fast which may not allow my blood sugar signal to register

'enough!' as soon as I finish my meal. If that is the case, a bit of sweet would

manage that. Fighting that urge only triggers my rebel which could mean that I

eat more sweet in reaction to rebelling than if I just had 'desert' and truly

felt satisfied. Lately I've been eating a yam instead of potato and the

sweetness in the yam seems to prevent this need to get some after stomach

fullness too. Its really an on going learning process and I'm glad you brought

this topic up as it offers me a chance to find what others are doing as well as

bringing it fore front to my awareness too.
