Guest guest
I too never got to my goal weight with WW. Each time I joined I would lose about 30 pounds but then stop and never get to my goal. And I have heard it from others here. I wonder what percentage of all their members really do achieve their goal weight? The great thing about IE is that WE, OUR BODIES, get to set our own goal weight, not an outside influence telling us what we should weigh. Just take things one step at a time and stick with IE. It really is great freedom and if it helps to know, I've been doing IE for about 3 years and finally my clothes are getting looser. Went shopping this weekeend at an outlet mall and when I tried on new jeans I kept having to go to a lessor size (yippee). I thought, but wasn't sure if something was happening. I thought my clothes were getting baggier and looser, but I don't step on the scale so I wasn't sure what was happening. IE does work if you stick with it long enough until it becomes second nature and you don't even think about it anymore. Guest guest
I have " done " WW a few times. Meaning started and stopped well before my goal weight. I had weird " reactions " to it every time. The very first time, I wasn't willing to give up my junk food, so I was basically starving everyday because I would use up half my points in one meal. A few times after that I would try and quit after a day or so. One time I did it right after Thanksgiving and stopped right before my Christmas break from school, and lost about 16 lbs and felt great. Then I recently tried it this past spring, went to the meetings and weighins and everything, and again was STARVING the whole time, even though I changed the foods I ate to be more filling foods. It was completely miserable. I swore I would never go back to it again, and this time I think I'll stick to that promise. > > Thank-you Alana... that really helps. These are my thoughts as well, even after being a whole while into IE. Sometimes I think the only difference between any diet and IE is that I get to eat what I want and that I don't need to go physically hungry. > How do you make yourself take that pause and figure stuff out when you > just don't want to? I wish I would know the answer to THAT question. :-/ Best wishes s.
