Guest guest
Awesome! Great job, Sue! This is really encouraging to me as I begin my IE journey. You mentioned weighing yourself. How often does everyone do that? Do you weigh every day, not at all or somewhere in between? Rhonda From: Sue Fritz Sent: Tuesday, June 29, 2010 7:00 PM To: IntuitiveEating_Support Subject: I think it is working! Something is happening. Clothes are fitting better, and my stiffness is gone. I am not moving like an old lady the past few days. I feel great! What is going on? I’m not sure if it is one thing or a combination of things. I have been using the CPAP machine for the past 2 months, I have been off of all soda for the past 2 months, and I have been working on IE for the past 3 months. Today I got my haircut and usually when I look at myself in the mirror with my hair wet and pulled back I feel fat and fatter. Today, I didn’t think that I looked too bad. Acceptance or an actual difference? It doesn’t matter! Even at night, I am not eating nearly as much as I had been. Something is kicking in. I have weighed myself three times in the past 2 weeks, and I have shown a loss the past 2 times. I don’t usually weight myself that often anymore and don’t plan to for awhile now. Anyway, I think that maybe perseverance is paying off. I hope so! Sue

Guest guest
You go girl! I am hoping that this will work for me too. I have not weighed myself weither. I do a weigh in at work on Thursdays because we have a biggest loser contest. I am done with diets. > > Something is happening. Clothes are fitting better, and my stiffness is > gone. Guest guest
Personally, I have been trying to not weigh at all. Was thinking of seeing if I could go at least a couple of months without doing it at all, but I haven't been able to go more than a week so far (actually just broke down and did it today!). But even getting to once a week is progress. Before starting IE about a month ago, I was weighing 2-3 times per day. I'm still going to try to keep gradually expanding the length between weigh-ins, though. Josie > > You mentioned weighing yourself. How often does everyone do that? Guest guest
I went for 6 months and now I've been doing Friday mornings. But I like this idea. OK, my goal is not to weigh myself until next July!!!! My weight is a little up but my clothes still fit. I exercise (I do Nia) and have all sorts of new muscles so maybe they are most of my weight gain! Caren > > I've decided to go a year without weighing myself. A whole year! Guest guest
I am also going the year without weighing myself. The nurse at my doc's office *insists* and I know I could draw a line there, but it actually doesn't bother me. In fact, I was in there a week and a half ago and don't even remember what the scale said. First I was going to not weigh myself from jan 1st until my birthday. Well, my birthday was yesterday and frankly, the peace of mind not weighing has given me deserves another six months :-) Now, if I could just get Facebook to give me a 'diet-talk filter' for all my friends' posts so that I didn't have to deal with the, 'gee, I really want some strawberry shortcake but I have to be good' crap the world would be near-perfect!
