Guest guest
My guess is your body is reacting to changes due to going through days with nearer to normal blood sugars. But you do have other conditions, so it's hard to say. Someone on the list said it might take a month for your body to adapt, and if as you say it's only been 8 days, this could point to your shakes being related to your new normal. Dave ~~ Now available: THE ATTACHÉ! -- From Desert Breeze Publishing ~~ Visit: http://www.authordavidbond.com Upcoming releases: A TIME TO BUILD -- June, 2012 SWEET MUSIC -- October, 2012 A TIME TO HEAL -- February, 2013 OUT OF THE DESERT -- July, 2013 A TIME TO DANCE -- November, 2013 the low sugar shakes. ok now for 2 days in a row I have got the shakes along with hot and kind of a sweat. both times I checked my sugar and yesterday was 109 and to day was 115. yesterday it happened around eleven and to day around 8-30. both times I took a zan ex thinking I may be having a panic attack and both times the shaking feeling went away in 30 minutes give or take. I checked my heart rate both days and it was fine. I also done the deep breathing ten times slowly and it helped as well. I don't even know if I am having a panic attack, but when you have had a few trips to the emergency room with your ticker having trouble, well it is a thing that I suppose could cause a panic. I've checked my sugar on other days when it was low and I never felt the shakes like yesterday and to day. could be my meter isn't always giving me my true reading all the time or our bodies just do this at different times. when I was running sugar of 300 and more I thought I felt grate and maybe I did because my body thought that was normal. now I've all most cut this range in half over the past eight days and it could be it is a shock to my system and maybe the lower sugar level is making my body think it is to low. I don't really think it is my heart because it doesn't continue and after I do take the zan ex it does slowly get better. I don't take zan ex except when I think I need one and certainly don't wish to make a habit of taking them daily. I use to think folks who had panic attacks were a bit off there rocker. now it could be all that kind of attitude is coming around to prove to me it is real and can happen to the best of us. I made a note of both days and will bring it up with my heart doc when I see him in April. just was wondering if one of you maybe know some thing about a panic attack or what ever the shakes are all about that I'm having only some times and no always. thanks. Guest guest
Mark, It may not be a panic attack, but just your sugar dropping rapidly. Even it it drops say from 140 to 115 rapidly, you could have those feelings. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Friday, March 16, 2012 10:59 AM To: blind diabetics Subject: the low sugar shakes. ok now for 2 days in a row I have got the shakes along with hot and kind of a sweat. both times I checked my sugar and yesterday was 109 and to day was 115. yesterday it happened around eleven and to day around 8-30. both times I took a zan ex thinking I may be having a panic attack and both times the shaking feeling went away in 30 minutes give or take. Guest guest
well it sucks! now what could I do for it and not keep taking a zan ex if I convince my self I'm in a panic mode? I suppose I have to just ride this puppy out until my body is use to normal sugar levels. doesn't sound like a fun ride to me, but I got it to do because I'm not going back to eating like a mad man who don't care. the low sugar shakes. ok now for 2 days in a row I have got the shakes along with hot and kind of a sweat. both times I checked my sugar and yesterday was 109 and to day was 115. yesterday it happened around eleven and to day around 8-30. both times I took a zan ex thinking I may be having a panic attack and both times the shaking feeling went away in 30 minutes give or take. Guest guest
Mark, What is the dosage of your Xanax? I take one from time to time. In my case, it's only .5mg which is a very low dosage. Just my opinion, but I don't see anything wrong with taking one once in a while if it really helps you but I'm not a doctor of course. I have an issue where I get really nervous in crowded places that have hard non-carpeted floors. It is kind of like a panic attack where I feel like everything is closing in on me. A Xanax helps in those situations. Guest guest
I take the same one you do. the saw bones gives me 45 every month and I hardly never use them all. of course ever since the A fib scare I have been taking one at night to help me sleep. I had a problem when I first came home of waking up in the middle of the night and would panic if my heart was speeding up just a bit. I hate to get in the habit of using one every night, but if it works and I don't wake up in a panic, then maybe I best do so. these low sugar shakes are just the pits in my opinion. I know it isn't going to last for ever and how I do look forward to the day when they stop. the low sugar shakes. ok now for 2 days in a row I have got the shakes along with hot and kind of a sweat. both times I checked my sugar and yesterday was 109 and to day was 115. yesterday it happened around eleven and to day around 8-30. both times I took a zan ex thinking I may be having a panic attack and both times the shaking feeling went away in 30 minutes give or take.
