Make sure you list thimerasol as an allergy. My son had to have a rod put in his femur from a severe fracture. When the anesthesiologist asked about allergies I said thimerasol. I'm so glad I did!!! He told me he would have to change one medication!!! Sometimes they use multidose vials & they contain thimerasol(Hg)!
