If it's working, keep doing it!

I read the book " Breaking the Vicious Cycle " (SCD diet)by Elaine Gottschall and

it was wonderful. I purchased a copy for my sister with Crohns. She is

completely off her medication. It was a God send for her.

I got a lot of great information out of it, and I really felt that if I could, I

would love to do it 'whole hog.' -- It wasn't possible for us, because it put

too too many restrictions on my son's already restricted diet. However, that

being said, I took a lot of knowledge and applied it where I could.

My son is almost recovered (although some would argue he is recovered) and we've

been doing biomed for a year and a half.

protocol just over a month ago and am seeing really nice things. My issue is I'm

really wanting to start with the foundational issues which I suppose would be

the gut and basic nutrition, I want to do the SCD whole hog. Problem is that

most of my supplements and medications wouldn't be allowed until the body

healed, maybe a year? Would it be worth it to see what results a healthy

functional gut would yield on this diet or would removing our supps. slow down

his currently AWESOME acquisition of skills? I'm hoping Cheryl will pipe up on

this one.
