At my age 81 invasive procedures are not worth it and add nothing to the treatment of IPF. They do add to the performer's income. I am retired military; have very good insurance so that is not an issue. The issue is the waste of money (in my opinion)

I was diagnosed 5 years ago via symptoms, hi-intensity ct to rule out pneumonia, and with pulmonary function tests. These tests provided sufficient information for the pulmonologist.

I am on 02 24/7 and stay away from crowds.

If I were 40 years younger I would be gnashing my teeth because of the health related enforced inactivity. So you see, there is one benefit of being an old boy, plus wisdom knowing and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Master.

God bless and keep each and every one of you.
