That book, I am not sure of, but there are several books by Becker

that are very good, especially for type 2 diabetics. I think her most book

was published last year.

If you have an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, Diabetes for Dummies is

available on the iBookstore (note: this is not digital audio format, but is

accessible e-book format).

in Spanish. You can buy a Kindle edition from Amazon for $11.77 and then

get the free Kindle Reader software application for your computer which

works with NVDA.

BARD has several books on diabetes including the following:

1. A Field Guide to Type I Diabetes: The Essential Resource

from the Diabetes Experts. American Diabetes Association. Read by

Carpenter. Reading time 4 hours 48 minutes. Medicine and Health. DB56024.

2. Mayo Clinic: The Essential Diabetes Book. Mayo Clinic

Staff. Read by Kerry Dukin. Reading time 10 hours 41 minutes. Medicine and

Health. DB72078.

There are several other titles on BARD which you can find by entering

diabetes as the keyword.

I've found it a little disappointing. It might be my experience though. I tried

to read my own book, which was in .modi format, which is the Kindle format, but

perhaps because it didn't come from Amazon, it didn't work quite right.

I haven't tried all that many books.

What you might want to do is download and install the Kindle For PC program,

then find some free Kindle books to give it a test run.

I've got a direct link for the Kindle For PC program and the accessible plug-in

at my web site. Go to the following page, and either search using your screen

reader's search feature, or hit h to jump to the " Where To Purchase " header, at

which point you'll tab several times to get to the link.

It does work with JAWS AND NVDA because I use JAWS 12 and it works just fine

with that.
