Guest guest
Hi Mark very simple I use no sugar but if you wish a couple of packets of splenda or what have you once it is done. just a large sauce pan of water, put about 5 to 6 sticks of cinnamon(or to your taste) and once a hard boil comes, turn off, let cool either drink hot with a bit of sugar free cool whip, or pour in to a pitcher or what you wish, and drink anytime as a cooler " ...And this I pray... Guest guest
Mark: I have been drinking Cinnamon tea for breakfast almost every morning. We just get the tea bags at Crest. I add a packet of Truvia or Stevia. It's not bad. I also take Cinnamon capsules. Don Re: CINNAMON TEA well now this sounds like a fine drink for me to try. Guest guest
the capsules is what I take every day as well. I got tea bags for one cup or a gallon. don't have any cinnamon and never heard or seen a cinnamon stick. do they like melt away? or do they just sit in there like a tea bag and get stronger the longer you leave them in? I suppose regular cinnamon powder would also work in the tea? CINNAMON TEA I LOVE cinnamon and Do believe it helps deep your blood glucose levels down ! Guest guest
Cinnnamon is the bark  of a tree.  Any spice is weakened when ground.  Cinnamon sticks are simply curled pieces of dried cinnamon bark. They Afound in the spice section of the grocery store.  Some brands more expensive than others for the same thing. Cinnamon sticks in jars are more expensive.  IF you look for the little cellophane bags in the Mexican spices section,  they will run less expensive.  The sticks dont melt, they stay in there and the tea gets stronger the longer it steeps, so you can regulate how strong you want it !  Powdered os weaker and wont dissolve properly.  I put water in a durch oven, thriw in about 3 or 4 sticks and bring to a boil.  Turn stove off, cover pot and let ot sit and steep.  CHeck for strength.  Dont remove cinnamon till it tastes like tiy want it to.  SORE in a covered jug or pircher so it wont pick up other osors in your fridge.  Buying cinnamon and making tea is a much better bargain health wise and money wide than one soda pop !  And cinnmon tea is very satisting to drink   LOL I am beginning to sound like a stinkin commercial, Bur I love this stuff )   ________________________________ To: blind-diabetics Sent: Tuesday, March 27, 2012 12:19 PM Subject: Re: CINNAMON TEA   the capsules is what I take every day as well. Guest guest
now I do recall trying that a few years ago. that stuff has to much sugar for me because I drink a lot of coffee and would add it to every cup. now I'm learning how to drink it black again as I done when I started. I do use half and half at times, but only for one cup first thing and then black rest of the time. I use to drink around 200 ounces of coffee a day. the saw bones about fell out of his chair and choked on his teeth! he said I should cut that amount way down. so now I only drink maybe 40 ounces now. I think I did cut way down, even though he thinks I should cut it more. not going to give up my coffee if it isn't causing any health issues. it does cause me to be mad if I don't have any to drink though and getting upset can cause stress! Guest guest
I suppose you can chew on a stick if you were of mind to do so. couldn't hurt you I would think, but I don't believe I would wish to chew on one like gum. I do recall back in my pot smoking days they had these stick looking things that you could light with a lighter or match and lay in a ache tray to smoke slowly and they would make your house smell good. kind of like covering up the Jane you just smoked. so your folks or who ever was coming over to your home wouldn't get a contact high or no what you were really about. you could buy all most any flavor you could think of back then. I think they called them insensts or a name like that. the problem with them was if you walked in to a house where they were strong smelling, you had a pretty good idea why they were. but I do recall the cinnamon one and it really did make the room smell really good. so did the vanilla and black cherry. wonder what grass smokers do now to hide the fact that they just burned one?
