Guest guest
My hat is off to you for being able to order room service. I am too budget/thrift minded to ever do that. Buffet dining is challenging when one is triggered by the huge display of food. What I have done at buffets is to pick just a taste of a few favorite items, go back to my table and eat as suggested by IE - only those what really taste good. I'm now able to leave less tasty things on the (not 'my'!) plate and let the bus person take it instead of 'not wasting' it. IF I am hungry, not satisfied, I will go back and get more. If I am fuller feeling, yet not satisfied, I will try and select ONE thing that I will be happy to eat. Part of my being able to do this is PREparing myself mentally before I enter the buffet. Knowing what I plan to do, having my own guidelines in mind and pausing instead of getting into 'gulp' mode does take awareness and determination. But I AM WORTH IT. Yes IE can be expensive, but so can WW, and diet mentality too. BEST to you as you find your way. Guest guest
na - a PS thought came to me about trust. Part of IE for me has been to recognize that either I will trust my body (and myself) or I will always be EXternally instead of INternally driven. Perhaps eating at a buffet is a trust test? I say you CAN eat there and come away satisfied and proud too. All best wishes to you - Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > so I am in a hotel from 3/ 4 days and i know myself. If I eat at the buffet, it is so triggering. > I might be able to control the need to try everything at that right time when I am serving food on a plate but at some point during the day, I would go insane. > So what am I doing to stay calm and eat just what I need to satisfy hunger levels? > I order breakfast as room service. > Yes, you end up paying way much more but it is a health reason... > It works.I only eat the healthy choices I made each morning. > lunch or dinner is different as I can get out but I found that arrangment workable to avoid overeating or binges from early in the am > > why is our issue so expensive? > > A >
