Guest guest
Hello, Not sure what the etiquette is, but I thought it might be rude to just lurk, and I see you have a established format for introducing oneself, so here goes: I'm a 29 year old female, non-BP daughter of a undiagnosed BP mother. I've known about BPD for about seven years now, and have been dealing with it as best I can, through several years of therapy and a great emotional support network of friends and family-through-marriage. Life with Mom is not overly dramatic these days, as we live in different (though, sadly, neighboring) states and I don't see her much more than once a month. Although I have been relatively emotionally detached from her for a few years now, I have just recently realized how really useless it is to even attempt to reason with her or explain my decisions, since she is so dissociative that we don't even have the same memories. Anyway, I look forward to " getting to know " many of you and hearing your stories. It's always so incredibly comforting to know others have had similar experiences!
