Great observation!  I also will add that this IE is much harder than a " diet " .  It involves a lot more and has less hard and fast rules.  In some ways it was easier to follow a diet with a list of allowed foods and forbidden foods. The truth is that for most people that is only a temporary thing and most return to old habits. I think for me it is important to note that IE may seem simple but it not easy, especially after all the years of diet mentality. Keep on keeping on.

Hi i am new here but I have just come across a lightbulb moment. I have learned that when I eat something that doesn't seem to be helpful to my body that I just need to observe what happened--what led up to it-and then correct. It eliminates the guilt and keeps me from going off the deep end. It puts me in charge and not the food or the mistake. I can get back on track much faster. Hope this helps someone else. Peace

Excellent observation and practice too. Re-focusing on one's own needs, wants

and body is the only way to go. Following 'diet dictates' makes me feel like a

hamster in a wheel - lots of activity but going no where.

Thanks for sharing!
