Guest guest
TELL YOUR WIFE THAT THE PRICE TO PAY FOR GOOD CONTROL IS THE LOWS. THIS WAS TOLD TO ME BY MY DOCTOR. KAREN my body feeling me about blood sugar Ok, this morning I woke up around 6 am and thought i had low sugar. I felt like i usually do when it goes low. However, when i checked my sugar it was 150, so i took 5 units of insulin so will see what it is in a few hours. Now about my wife. She just hates it when i crash, especially at night. Um, would she prefer i die of high bg? I don't think she'd like that. But i understand where she is coming from i guess as i really can't do a lot for myself like used to because i can not really walk anymore. What can i tell her about this problem? It is very annoying tome when she gets upset about something so insignificant. well later all. scott -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Guest guest
Do you go completely unconscious at night? If not, keep glucose tabs right next to your bed, or little bottles of juice. You should also have a glucogon kit in your bedroom so she can give you a shot of it if you are completely out and can't help yourself. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Sent: Friday, April 06, 2012 3:32 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: my body feeling me about blood sugar Ok, this morning I woke up around 6 am and thought i had low sugar. Guest guest
Not necessarily so. Tight control will provide less frequent episodes of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). But the price still needs to be paid. Or as one could say, the piper must receive his pay in another way. That being constant monitoring and surveillance. There's no way around it. Constant diligence, and a dogged determination to stick with the plan.
