Interesting observation, because I've stopped all biomeds for 3 months and just started to introduce Klaire Labs Probiotics again, just one per day and I've noticed some old vocal stims and echolalia come back. He also gets a little hyper after the probiotics....maybe die off?Now I recall that some probiotics have Strep strands?? Are these strep strands related to the Strep B bad bacteria I had when I was pregnant? My husband always suffered from Strep as a little boy too. Supposedly I was on antibiotics when I was pregnant but I can't help think maybe I transmitted it to him????I read a post about Custom Probiotics, I wonder if that's the name brand or do they really customize your actual probiotics? What test should I ask my sons Ped to check for Strep B? Ever tried Bio-kult probiotics?

I'd like to try LDN, what pharmacy or compounding company did you use Toni?So glad to hear of 's and your success!

Yes you need an RX for LDN. Probably from a DAN.Side effect is sleepless nights the first week or so and yeast flare, so you need to make sure yeast is under control and keep or up probiotics. is weaning off all supps and he is making huge gains with homeopathy. We are also using homeopathy on my son.

LDN causes the body to make more opiate receptors, and it's an immune system regulator. My whiny girl is HAPPY and she sees things now that she missed before. Major major excellent eye contact now.

Toni, do you need a Dr's prescription for LDN? Is it compounded, where do you get it from? Is it an antifungal or antiviral? I recall 's 's old post referring to it. Any side effect & what does it really work on? How is Tracey, I wonder?

Sorry for all the questions, haven't posted in so long....thank you

Hey ladies,Don't give up. Just re-group. We didn't have any real wows with my daughter (she is high functioning/Asperger's but has many issues past social ones!) until we did LDN. low Dose Naltrexone... She is becoming a " normal " annoying 6 year old now. LOL You know, lying, being sneaky etc... Grrr. Haha.

It has been hard to rule out what did good because I threw so much at both kids. But I know the LDN has been awesome for her!!!I still do supps because I've been too disorganized to go thru and weed out what I should. But mostly it's regular vits, mins, gaba and melatonin. We still do some epsom salt baths occasionally. I need to try to concentrate and get our routine more organized so I can see what works, and such... and likely you two need to take a deep breath and do the same.... maybe just go back to basics.... sometimes when we take stuff away, we see that wow, that thing really was doing something. Don't take probiotics away!

Love you all! Love this group!!!

I've done so much Cheryl in the past 2 1/2 years...from Gluthadione Transdermal creams, Enhansa, B12 shots, probiotics, GF/CF diet since he was 18 months.

To vitamins: TMG, Taurine, Miscellized A, D3, zinc, Vegan Protein powder, cod liver oil, omega, Houston Enzymes, B6, DMG, viamin E, Calcium, methyl-Folate, Coq10, L-Carnitine L-Carnitine Acetyl....3 rounds of Vancomycin for his Clostridia, Difflucan, Valtrex

To 40 dives of HBOT, Hippo-Therapy, hours of OT, Speech Therapy 20 hours of weekly private ABA sessions, Special Pre-K.I mean some symptoms have improved like he no longer touches his ears, spins toys, ignores us entirely, stopped the major flapping....but he still stares off for 2 minutes, does some vocal stims, still echolalic, runs walks on his toes, has that flighty eye contact and

doesn't speak in sentences or know how to express himself yet, oh and the dreadful potty training has been such a flop! Not sure what to do at this point, I'm very desperate and feel so lost. My next step is trying the GAP's diet, it seems to target most underlying problems like Clostridia, Yeast, Fungus...maybe I'll restart Valtrex with Difflucan again???

I also bought Dr. Goldbergs, book on the " Myth on Autism " , can't help but think about Marcia Hinds inspirational recovery story...I wonder how is she these days.Anyways, so sorry for the horrendous book I'm sending, but it's just pure madness, and I've lost my enthusiasm, feel a bit depressed and tired of the fanatical truly expensive Biomedical Protocals. I try to stay positive, but it can be deteriating. I admire your focus wisdom and wish I to could say I have a recovered kid and have the honor to help parents on this forum like

you, God bless you Cheryl and all the wonderful parents on this forum!!!!

The toe walking is not in his feet and the eye problems arent in his eyes. It's symptoms of a bigger picture. I think thats where so many get lost. They try to break it down into treating each symptom rather than treating the overall body.

Your child most likely needs biomedical intervention to address the underlying causes. Virus, Vitamin Deficiency, Mineral Deficiency, Strep, Parasites, Metals... all possiblities.
