Guest guest
Fiber? Anyone ever hear of intolerance to fresh fruits and veggies (nausea and vomitting) but canned fruits and veggies fine. ??? Thought, sight and smell, fine. But actually eating these makes this young lady sick. (early 20's, nt). Pesticides? Fertilizer? Bacterial overgrowth in gut? -tammy -- Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states.

Guest guest
Maybe recommend SCD, esp following the first two stages (cooking " to death " fruits and veggies before eating) ....there's something to look at. Guest guest
Could it be Salicylate Sensitivity? My children have a problem with that...
Guest guest
I was wondering that myself, but I don't know if something happens to the fruit when it's canned that would change her tolerance to salicylates (???) She can tolerate canned produce. Go figure. -tammy To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Sun, March 6, 2011 8:42:38 AMSubject: Re: fresh fruit & veg intolerance Could it be Salicylate Sensitivity? Guest guest
Sals don't really degrade when cooked, but oxalates do and so do goitrogens (sp). Don't know if this helps. Also could just be a very compromised gut and/or low stomach acid that is making it too hard to digest the raw fiber. People with low stomach acid have no moons on their fingernails (thumbs don't count). Guest guest
I have no moons! I have never heard that before! I have been chronically constipated my entire life and fiber has never helped. And now my daughter is chronically constipated as well. That makes a lot of sense. So what does one do with low stomach acid?- Kirk-To: mb12 valtrex From: katalisp@...Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2011 22:24:22 +0000Subject: Re: fresh fruit & veg intolerance Sals don't really degrade when cooked, but oxalates do and so do goitrogens (sp). Guest guest
There are several things you can do: The most natural is to eat some raw/live saurkraut before your meal. This will trigger the stomach acid and the fermented cabbage helps you produce more. You can also drink water with ACV in it with your meal. In general you want to increase your fermented foods as much as possible. Both the low stomach acid and constipation are signs of an imbalanced digestive system in regards to beneficial microbes. If you want you can also use Bentaine Hydrochloric Acid http://www.google.com/search?q=betaine+hydrochloric+acid & hl=en & client=safari & rls\ =en & prmd=ivns & source=univ & tbs=shop:1 & tbo=u & sa=X & ei=PBN0TZrUGYeasAOi0sy7Cw & ved=0C\ DAQrQQ HTH, Kathleen > > > > > > I was wondering that myself, but I don't know if something happens to the fruit > > > when it's canned that would change her tolerance to salicylates (???) She can > > > tolerate canned produce. Guest guest
Thank you! I just started drinking the Bragg's ACV drink 3 days ago with a drop of iodine. So, should I avoid alkaline stuff? For example, I drink goji juice every day, which is known to put the body in an alkaline state. Thanks for the great info! To: mb12 valtrex From: katalisp@...Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2011 23:06:49 +0000Subject: Re: fresh fruit & veg intolerance There are several things you can do: The most natural is to eat some raw/live saurkraut before your meal. Guest guest
That's very interesting. I have no moons. I wondered about the oxalates, too, but is she able to handle other high ox foods that are not fruit and veggies. maybe she should look into goingoitrogens. -tammy p.s. I want to say thanks to everyone for responding to this. You guys are awesome. Guest guest
No, alkaline producing foods don't necessarily reduce stomach acid. They create a more alkaline body fluid. It's not straight forward. The natural beneficial bacteria you want to build up in your body actually create a more alkaline state in your blood too. If you are looking to adjust your overall diet, besides eating more cultured/fermented foods, try to reduce your sugars as much as possible and increase your vegetables. The " bad " bacteria like the sugars, and high carbohydrate foods. HTH, Kathleen > > > Thank you! I just started drinking the Bragg's ACV drink 3 days ago with a drop of iodine.
