Guest guest Posted July 2, 2010 Report Share Posted July 2, 2010 As most of you know I'm still in the initial phase of finding out the balance between what full is and knowing when to stop when I am full. Although this time has been frustrating for me I am learning about myself as I go which makes me feel better. On Wednesday I worked really hard to keep checking in with myself and eat slowly enough to know when I needed to stop; it worked, no overeating and I felt like I had so much energy to accomplish things. Yesterday I was going fairly well in the morning and then work got hectic and before I knew it it was 2:30 in the afternoon and I was starving. I proceeded to eat my whole lunch which was more than enough to fill me and then snacked a bit in the afternoon. By the time I got home for dinner I wasn't very hungry, but I ate a bit of my dinner anyway and then found myself not feeling satisfied. I munched on some things in the evening and just never found what I really wanted. Over the past two days I've learned that I need to eat before I'm starving and that if I'm not hungry or the food isn't what I really want I should just stop and walk away.
