Guest guest
Hi , I was wondering if someone can help me. My son has frequent external and middle ear infection. he just finished his 2nd round of antibiotic, in less than 2 months and he is fussy again. I checked his ears and sure enough he has ear infection. I do not want to take him to the doctor b/c they just give him another round of something that doesn't work. I have the ear drop olive oil and garlic that soothes the pain but not taking the infection away. Can anyone tell me what to do. He is in so much pain. Thank you Tunde
Guest guest
Hi Tunde. I have a book called Gut and psychology Syndrome. On page 218 and 219 they tell natural remedies of how to treat the ear infections. Unfortunately, I don't have time to type everything for you, I am trying to feed my son. You can contact me off list, I will give you my phone number, you can call me and I will read these pages for you. Guest guest
This won't help in the short term, but for the long term, look into cranio sacral therapy. We had our daughter evaluated (actually through a behavioral health center at a hospital) and she had immobility in the temporal bones ('cranial tension') which led to the ear not draining correctly. I was stunned at the simplicity of the explanation, and the effect of the therapy. Our practitioner related that he thought the tension in our case was from a head trauma. The only trauma I could imagine was birth trauma- I had a rapid labor with very strong contractions after my water broke. We have benefitted in many ways from CST. I hope you find some relief. > > > > > > > > Subject: ear infectionm > > To: mb12 valtrex > > Date: Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 6:32 PM > > > > > > Hi , I was wondering if someone can help me. Guest guest
My son used to get lots of ear infections... now my doc perscribes anti biotic but does a scan of his ear at the end to see if it is actually gone (it's usually not)... this is what they used to do , but now cost wise they just perscribe and don't do follow up. The visual check is good, but the scan (I forget what the machine is called) is much more accurate. It shows if there is still fluid in there... I think what was happening before was that the antibiotics were not fully clearing up the infection, and then the ear infections would come back in a few weeks to a month... of course all the while building up resistance to antibiotic. For kids whose immune systems are not working properly... they need follow up to see if infection is actually gone, and the scan checks to see if there is still fluid (i.e. still bacteria back there)

Guest guest
One thing I'd like you to keep in mind--from my experience--my kiddo had ear infections (lots) then we'd treat with antibiotics and then he would move right into a fungal infection in the ear---it can happen. See if maybe this is what is happening. We'd have to do antibiotics, then antifungal. A friend of mine had this cycle happen with her kid and they stopped it by using genitan violet. Very messy dark purple, but can be used. I personally never used it in ear, but did for my child when he had thrush in his mouth. You might also want to look into garlic ear oil. good luck Re: ear infectionm My son used to get lots of ear infections... now my doc perscribes anti biotic but does a scan of his ear at the end to see if it is actually gone (it's usually not)... this is what they used to do , but now cost wise they just perscribe and don't do follow up.
