Guest guest
Dear Listees:I remember there was some discussion on high blood level of B-12. But I missed the details of that discussion. So could anyone PLEASE reply to the following concerns:What to do if there is high serum B-12 level in blood? #1. Is it a reason to be alarmed of? #2. Can its high level cause any toxicity symptoms, kidney failure? The lab that ran the test says so. #3. Is it because there may not be enough folic acid or folicinic acid such that the B-12 is not being utilized to make methionine in the methylation cycle? #4. Should we shift to hydroxy-cobalamine in place of methyl-cobalamine? We have been having both IV injections and sublingual doses of methyl-cobalamine. Will this shift set the serum B-12 level to normal? Thanks for any answers. Ratan.
Guest guest
Ratan, Why are you doing both injections and sublingual MB12? Have you been seeing dramatic gains from using it? I don't know about the science, but if this were my kid I would stop the B12. Maggied. > > > Dear Listees: > > I remember there was some discussion on high blood level of B-12. Guest guest
Thanks Maggied. I have already stopped the B12 shots and sublinguals. But should I shift to hydroxo form? Or have the causesof high B12 investigated first?-------------Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 2652561, mail: ratanpsych@...- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrition Soc. of India; Member ISOM- Author of "Nutrition & Supplements in Major Mental Illnesses";- M.A. (Psychol), Postgraduate Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology, Ph.D.;- Certified Behavior Therapist (from late Prof. J.
