Guest guest
Typically my nada has some kind of meltdown, whether it's Christmas, Easter, her birthday. A couple days before Easter she had one of her faux emergencies and we spent hours in ER while she enjoyed herself. Then she cut us off, wouldn't talk to us on the phone, etc. Told the neighbors that we don't do anything for her on Easter. Yeah, right, What about the Easter basket I make for her every year and taking her out to eat? The Christmas before that she shut down, refused to talk to us on the phone or allow us to come over to see her during that week. No idea what her problem was but it sure stirred up the stress. Looking back at her various marriages, I always thought the holidays were screwed up because of the husband being angry and fighting. But now I believe she starts it. I promise myself I'll deal with it better but when it rolls around, I still get angry and sick and spend too much time in the bathroom. LOL Yep, stress hits me right in the bowels. On the bright side, I never gain weight over the holidays. irene > > What will it be this year? Nada envying my thick eyebrows? BIL mounting war against the weakest alternate in-law to solidify his golden SoIL status? Fada, under nada directive, almost physically placing everyone at their designated place settings? Oh the fun. I will put up with it so my kids can spend time with their cousins but I will find a perch on a grinchy hilltop somewhere while I grin and bare it. > > What part of the holidays are you least looking forward to? > > patinage >

Guest guest
This year, I am looking forward to ZERO craziness. No bpdMother to spoil the fun, and tell me how WRONG everything in my life is... Except for the part where I meet my boyfriend's father, who has some " issues " with race. Ha!!! We'll see how much fun I have... > > What will it be this year? Nada envying my thick eyebrows? BIL mounting war against the weakest alternate in-law to solidify his golden SoIL status?
