Guest guest
One tab 3 times a day is 50mg. That is alot for a child. That is the HIGH dosage protocol for an adult. Probably too much. It might clear it up faster than a lower dosage, but there is going to be (or already happening, diarrhea is moving it out) major die off, realllly major and they will feel like crap if their livers cant handle it they will feel even worse. Are you using the natural salt? Se(100mcg)? Magnesium? There are other antioxidents people use, but the C is very important. Have you tried several brands of C? Some are lots less irritating than others. I use a buffered C i like that doesnt bother me and most do. You can do a foot bath of C and it absorbs, it takes alot tho. I would lower the dosage. You dont say how old they are or what size they are so but you said boys, stimming and driving you crazy, so i am assuming young. One tab per day would be considered high dosage for a 10yr old average weight. Cheryl > > I started my boys on 1/2 tab iodoral 3x a day last week to help with a major yeAst infection. Didn't seem to be doing anything so I upped it to 1 tab 3 x a day. Now we are having diarrhea and stimming beyond bearable. But the yeasty rash is clearing up. Should we just ride it through? They are driving me crazy! > > Also, Of all the supps on the protocol list, I cannot add Vit C. They just can't tolerate it, no matter what form or derivative I try without giving diarrhea. Is this absolutely necessary to add? Thanks! >
Guest guest
I meant to say close to 50mg. 1 tab 3 x a day is 37.5 mg. Sorry trying to go too fast cause i have to leave for a while! Guest guest
Thanks Cheryl. They are 5 and 6. They are getting most of the supporting supps. I've tried all kinds of C, even the buffered ones. I haven't tried the foot bath. Maybe bypassing the gut would help with the irritating the tummy. The boys are "gut" kids. Had diarrhea for years and finally with Dr. K's help the are diarrhea free, well except yesterday! Lol! I will try the vit. C foot bath and lowering the iodoral and see what happens.
