I believe Alan Lemley had trouble, if not others. The software is apparently not

screen reader friendly either, and I'm afraid the solution to this problem

doesn't seem to be anywhere on the horizon.

Problems installing Prodigy management software

has anyone had trouble installing the management software for the Prodigy

voice meter on their system? My attempt failed. Not sure why.

I downloaded the version for windows xp and I am running windows xp sp3.

, I tried installing the XP version of the Prodigy Management

software and exited the install routine when it seemed to hang while

installing prerequisite software was displayed in the dialog. When I

tried to restart my system, I could not boot it up even to Safe Mode

and had to restore an image backup to get my system back. Needless to

say, I've not tried re-installing it again.

I was unable to download the windows 7 software. Does anyone know of a link

that works?

yes, I am told that I have some type of missing Microsoft file now, when my

system boots, I get the " thunk " sound, and it tells me that there is a missing

library file or something. I'm trying to correct the issue now.

Needless to say, I'm not happy with Prodigy right now. They've told me for the

last year and a half that they are working on the issue. Yeah, right.

Don, here is the Vista and Windows 7 Prodigy download link I posted a few

weeks back but since I use XP, I never tested it:

With the problems I had when trying to install the XP version of this and

having to restore an image backup to get my system back up and running, I

urge extreme caution.

My husband installed it after doing something to his computer after having

the first experience like you Alan. He just had surgery, so it will be a

fes days before I can ask him what it was. But it was successful and he was

able to get print outs from the Prodigy.

, I'm glad he was successful and I'd be curious to know how he

succeeded. I admit that I don't keep my Windows XP computer updated with all

those never-ending Microsoft downloads which seem designed to protect the

computer user from himself. Maybe this was part of the problem I

experienced.

I can let you know later in the week when my husband is up to doing

computer. He had surgery on his right shoulderand right now has it setting

on ttable like thing that is resting on his hip and hanging from hisother

shoulder. His arm is ticking out in front of him. He has to be like that
