Ugh, I just saw Jane on the elevator and she just acted like NOTHING HAPPENED.

This whole incident with her really has been like the old times with Mom! Do

Something that Sets Mom Off...Argue...Don't Talk...Mom acts later like nothing's

happened... " want some more pudding, sweetie? "

I think I'm just going to act more and more disinterested in her silly comments

until she just drops me. Again -- UGH.

Being trapped in a work environment with a personality-disordered co-worker is a

lot like being trapped as a child with a personality-disordered sibling.

(My nada would do that also: she'd rage at me, terrify me, even physically

attack me, and then I'd be shaking and devastated and she'd be all cheerful and

perky and acting like nothing had happened.)

The work environment dynamic is so similar to a parent/child relationship: the

job or the boss has all the power, you are dependent on the job/boss for

sustenance (your salary), its important to please the boss, who can fire you

relatively easily, and its often extremely difficult for you to leave.

That's life, I guess.
