Guest guest
Hello, Barbee, Could you whisper in Vivian's ear that her Advocate might not be her very best friend after all, that she might want to trade it in for a newer meter, perhaps the Solo V2, which is easier to use. She may well find this meter to be her real best friend. Dotty -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Visit www.serotek.com to learn more about accessibility anywhere. Guest guest
Thanks Dotty. Barbee did tell me what you said and I want to say thanks. I have hesitated to move away from my Advocate to the Solo 2 because of an experience that a friend of mine had. My friend is a brittle Type 1 and used the Prodigy Voice. She tried the Solo 2 and really liked it until she had some concerns. She would test on both meters and go with what the Solo said which always seemed to read high for her. There could be as much as 40 points difference. Well she did this a couple of times and ended up with an extreme low BG when she went for her walks. People have had to rescue her in the middle of the street these two times and she had no clue what was going on. She said that if she had gone by the reading on the Prodigy Voice, she would've done what she needed to do to raise her BG levels. I hope this makes sense and know that I'm not letting her experience totally influence my decision on getting the Solo 2 but right now, the Advocate seems to be working pretty well for me. Thanks again. Vivian and Barbee - That's Barbee with 2 E's blazie.girl@... Guest guest
yes! yes! yes! lets get with the program right now! the pig needs help. I can't be the only one on the list who is serving eviction notices to pounds of unwanted fat! I plan to move them out one at a time. all 134 pounds of fat one at a time with the eviction notice I serve them with. you only got 11? now I have heard you will have trouble losing only 11 pounds, where I can drop them out easier because I got so many hanging around my body, which is there home. I did invite them in to party with me a while back, but now I'm ready for them to get out and I nether wish to see them again. they aren't in the mood to leave though as I can tell. they use to gain up on me back in the day long ago and they sure knew right where my weaknesses were. they even knew how to attack my attitude to break it down or at least put some holes in it. I have figured out over the years of dealing with these unwanted fat pounds that if you get rid of all those weapons they use to fight back like food that you shouldn't be eating, then this is one less weapon they can use to temp you. any time you got junk in your house these fat pounds will use them to break you down with temptation. they have been with you a very long time and they know you like a book. so you take away as many of there weapons as you can. they don't plan to move out because they like the treatment they have got over the years. the food is grate and they don't have to do anything but lay around and watch the grass grow. you and I have made it to easy for them and they like it a lot! get the junk out of the house, then get your attitude in the right place and do some kind of exercise that you will keep doing. make the fat pounds unhappy and uncomfortable. this is how you get rid of company that has over stayed there welcome and fat pounds are no different. they will put up a fight because they have been on easy street for way to long. you fight fire with fire if you plan to see the victory circle! I got 134 eviction notices to serve one at a time and it is going to take a lot of hard work on my part, but I will have my way and each stubborn pound will move out and never come back to live in this house again. I have just made it to easy and to good for them to ever leave until now. you only got 11 eviction notices to serve and I know they are dug in and dead set on putting up one hell of a fight to break you down and stay. don't keep anything around in your kitchen that they will use against you. remember, they know you probably better then you know you. they hate exercise, because moving around and sweating makes them weak and it is much easier to use the force on them that it takes to move them closer to the front door where you kick them out on there fat pound fat butt. the force you and I both need comes from eating right, exercise daily and having our attitude right on the mark each day. ever heard the saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get going! lots of truth here. also remember your fat pounds that are living with you as we speak know that for every 3 of them that you have invited in over the years of bad eating choices, you can only evict one at a time. 3 to 1! so the next time you go to reach for a temptation that you should all ready have got rid of, it will cost you 3 to 1. it is always faster and easier to move the fat pounds in, then it is to kick them out. they know this and there is more of them to fight back every step of the way. this is why you and I both have to have our heads on straight and our attitude's on target to win the war. they will win a few battles here and there because we aren't perfect, but the biggest victory will be winning the war! the war against evicting fat pounds out of our house for good! I'm with you girl and I'm ready to get down and nasty and play unfair and mean. the good old boy I use to be, just changed in to the fat smashing monster and he is ready to rock! Guest guest
Mark, When you have lost all 134 pounds, you will have lost one of me or Sugar! _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Friday, March 30, 2012 7:42 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: My Latest Blood Test yes! yes! yes! lets get with the program right now! the pig needs help. My Latest Blood Test Just got back from the doctor. My A1C was 7.4 but in September was 6.5. My cholesterol has greatly improved. I want to say thanks to everyone on the list for all of your comments, especially Mark and others who have bared their souls, which is getting me back on track I have put on about 11 lbs. since September and the doctor wants me to really work on getting the weight down, diet control, and more exercise. I am currently taking Medforimen, Januvia, and Actose. I am a Type 2 as you can tell. Guest guest
the saw bone will tell you 6.5 and lower is what number they like. actually under 6 is better. like between 5 and 6 is the goal to shoot for in my opinion. mine was 13 six months ago. less then one month ago it was down to 12. I find out in June what the next lower number will be and it will be much lower. My Latest Blood Test > > Just got back from the doctor. My A1C was 7.4 but in September was 6.5. Guest guest
I noticed some differences between the readings on the Prodigy Voice and the Solo V2 when I made the change. The differences were more pronounced the farther from a reading of around 100 I got, or as I like to think, from normal. However, since the change, which has been well over a year, my A1C's have remained the same. So, the bottom line for me at least is, as long as I keep as close to this normal reading, I know my readings are as accurate as they're going to get. She may well find this meter to be her real best friend. Dotty -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Visit www.serotek.com to learn more about accessibility anywhere.
