Apparently, the software is problematic for those of us using screen readers.

The problems happen when installing it it's been reported. I have not tried so I

can not say first hand.

If you are sighted, and are not using screen reading software, it may work for

you. I don't have the link handy, but if you Google Biosense and Solo V2, and

perhaps software or log or something, you should come up with the link.

Re: Solo V2 downloading and printing memory

Solo V2 users,

I am a blind caregiver of a diabetic brother who had two strokes and needs

help taking blood sugar and administering insulin because he does not have hand

control.

I would like to download his history of blood sugar results from the solo v2.

Doctors are asking about them. I called Advanced Diabetic Care and was told

about the mymeterlink.com site. It wants me to register a profile, plug in the

SOLO to the computer, and the data gets sent from the solo through the computer

to the mymeterlink.com site. I can print the date from the site, they say.

They push it as a universally accessible site, wherever the doctor may be he

can get your records.

My worry is, so can anyone else. I'm not a fan of working in the cloud.

So my question is, is there a way to download the memory data from the solo v2

onto my own computer and save it there, to print up if necessary, without

sending it over the internet?

Thanks a lot for any responses.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for writing back. I'm blind. That's why we use the solo v2, so I can

hear the results.

It sounds from your message that there is software that would go on our

computer. It's too bad if it doesn't work with JAWS.--

Yes, it is indeed too bad. The two main companies with fully audible meters (the

Prodigy Voice and Solo V2) don't seem to put very much emphasis on getting this

software working.
