Where in the world did this come from?

, you still here?

Maybe someone sent him a nasty note off list.

I was going to reply concerning his " so what " response, but I won't bother now.

Maybe he sent it in here by mistake. He sounds like a heck of a nice guy

from his web site. It was fun looking at it.

Oh-oh. I got the other note saying he is unsubscribing and have just written

him personally with an impassioned plea to come back. I pointed out that

sugar and stress can really work on us emotionally too. I was getting a lot

of encouragement from his messages.

I know Becky was too. I appreciate all you veterans but sometimes it takes

another new person to point out things and situations to us new diabetes

babies.

I think I know what it was now and tried to explaing that the person was

just trying to be helpful. My brother Dan gets on my butt all the time and

acts as if he is Mr. Perfect because he is under so much control but I still

have a little problem with peanut butter. And yes I have cut way down and

completely omitted regular pop which for me was very hard.

So let's all go and try to bring him back! LOL.

Yep, that's what this list seems to be pretty good at. Encouraging each other.

I am not one of the chief encouragers however, more times than not, standing way

up high on my soapbox!

Since yesterday, I have bee having trouble getting my BG down. It was

running over 200 after dinner and I gave myself 3 units, thinking it would

go down overnight. But got up this morning and it was still over 200, so

took 3 more units and ate a low calorie yogurt. 3 hours later it was 169,

so took 1.5 nits. It finally got down to 115 at 1:15 PST, so feel much

better and ate a mostly protein lunch. We'll see how it goes after I'm done

doing all the chores I still have to do today.

Hi pat.

Well, i don't correct that way.

3 units isn't enough. That will only lower your bg about 60 points of so.

I Tell u what i do in this case say if my bg was like 200.

Starting counting at 121 to 140 1 unit

\141 to 160 2 units and

161 to 180 3 units and on like that.

\

I hope u get the idea.

In the case if my bg was 200 i would give myself

4 units instead of three.

However i was just sitting here thinking that that is not much of a

difference really so i wonder if u have a bad site or its leaking or something.

I had the same trouble today though even with correcting the way i do.

It started at 182 this morning to 183 when i was at the doctor at noon

to 125 when i took it at dinner time.

Im glad u did finally get your sugars down.

As for me i don't know what the problem was as i also took insulin nt

only for the correcting but of course my meal too.

I am very insulin sensitive because my kidneys aren't working. I saw in

another Email that you are on 2.1 or so units per hour on your pump. I use

0.4-0.6 unit depending on the time of day. Also, I am not a very big

person. This shows how individual every diabetic is.
