Guest guest
WHAT KIND OF EATER ARE YOU? (newbie here)----------------------------------#1.EATING STYLE: Careful EaterTRIGGER: Fitness & healthCHARACTERISTIC: Appears to be the perfect eater; anguishes over each food morsel and its effect on the body. On the surface, this person seems health- and fitness-oriented. I do work out at least 6 days a week and try to be careful of what I eat... but eating careful usually means boring food that I get tire of eating and then I'll get that urgency need good tasting food... #2.2EATING STYLE: Refuse-not Unconscious EaterTRIGGER: Presence of food.CHARACTERISTIC: This person is especially vulnerable to candy jars, or food present in meetings or sitting openly on the kitchen counter. If I buy sweets or chips... I can't just have one... also suffer from IBS, so fatty foods and certain foods end up making me feel bloater... it's like I'm subconsciously tormenting myself...? I don't understand why I do this? So I make it a real reminder andon't buy sweets or bad things that I will eat... but then end up buying one candy bar at 7-eleven... feeling that this is the only way I can get my sweet fix. #2.3EATING STYLE: Waste-not Unconscious EaterTRIGGER: Free foodCHARACTERISTIC: This person's eating drive is often influenced by the value of the food dollar and is susceptible to all-you-can-eat buffets and free food. I do hate to throw food away... so when I cook at home, I tend to overeat. #2.4EATING STYLE: Emotional Unconscious EaterTRIGGER: Uncomfortable EmotionsCHARACTERISTIC: Stress or uncomfortable feelings trigger eating -- especially when alone. I've had a tubfull of family and financial and family stress related problems over the last several years. I do live alone and have taken anxiety medication for 3 years now, but I still can't control my compulsion to " fill the void " when I'm suppose to be working on " moving forward with my financial / house / family / weight issues... blah...blah...blah... ------------------------------------------------- Judy Ann
