Guest guest
I got mine from CCS Medical. It's free if your insurance covers it. I had mine in about a week after ordering. Don How and where can I get the Prodigy Voice? I need to get a talking blood glucose meter. I'm guessing that the Prodigy Voice is a good choice. So the question is, how and where do I get one? --
Guest guest
, I've been using the below company for a number of years. (Note my comment following the information.) I'm essentially happy with them. There are a number of companies out there however. IF you're on SSDI and Medicare, your meter and strips and all other supplies will be 100% covered. You'll get a 90 day supply. Here's the info: Advanced Diabetic Solutions in Georgia 1- They might suggest you try the Solo V2 meter. I will admit to being a staunch Prodigy Voice user for years, but since switching to the Solo V2, I have warmed up to it for a couple reasons. First, it provides a warning message clearly stating insufficient blood when the sample is inadequate. Second, the meter's buttons are not as sensitive as the Prodigy's were, at least the older model. The one nagging complaint about the Solo V2 is how the memory review announces only the date, and not the time of previous readings. It's an absolutely incredible oversight/design flaw, and I don't have much faith they'll fix it any time soon. Guest guest
I've just learned my insurance (under a Medicare Advantage plan) may not cover my strips and other testing costs. That is, 50% of the costs. This is because it turns out Advanced Diabetic Solutions wasn't in their network of approved pharmacies. Because they're out of network, my High Mark Blue Cross plan only covers 50%. Stay tuned though, because I just got this bill on Friday for supplies for all of last year. ADS never told me I wasn't being covered. Bottom line is, check with your insurance and know what your plan covers, and does not cover.
