That is great news Laurie so happy that you are able to see that IE works Eva

Hi, fellow IE-ers!

Just a little note of encouragement: I've been at this two months (plus) now, and I think it's working! I just had lunch--soup and half-sandwich with chips--and ended up leaving some of the chips (unheard of) and taking half of the half-sandwich wrapped up with me because I was getting full. I did *not* feel deprived or even "virtuous," just satisfied and pleasantly full. I have over the last few months noticed that if I eat this way, I feel *so* much better--energized instead of leaden--so being aware of that as I eat, it encourages me to eat less because I want to--not because I "should."

I also have been rising early to exercise, and (as is suggested in the IE book), concentrating on how it makes me feel afterwards instead of how many calories I'm burning or how much weight I'm losing. Again, the realization that exercising actually makes me feel better (not worse, because I'm neither overdoing it in terms of duration per session or how often I exercise--I honor what my body is telling me if I feel too sore or tired to exercise) makes me *want* to exercise. This has virtually never happened to me before, and I am therefore exercising more than I've ever been able to do in the past, even when I was forcing myself to keep to a certain schedule.

Yahooo!

I did *not* feel deprived or even  " virtuous, " just satisfied and pleasantly full. I have over the last few months noticed that if I eat this way, I feel *so* much better--energized instead of leaden--so being aware of that as I eat, it encourages me to eat less because I want to--not because I " should.
