You might find the book " The End of Overeating " a very interesting read.

Kessler talks about the addictive nature of certain foods and food

combinations.

Thanks, styxia, I have read Kessler's book (pretty much in one weekend!) and found it fascinating. His data are the primary reason I do in fact believe that some foods, in some combinations, have certain physiologically (not to mention also psychologically/emotionally) addictive qualities. If you're getting a physiological reaction from some foods, as his data suggests, it's bound to be harder to untangle emotional eating.
