Very good points, . My body, too, thinks the weight where I am is normal, because I've been here for years and years now.

You are so right. But just remember that your body may have gotten used to not eating when hungry. So now that you are doing IE it has to get used to that. Think of it as you are now trying to tune into your body and it is trying to tune into using the food that you now provide. The side effect will eventually be weight loss. I have been overweight for most of my life so I think my body sees that as normal. It is going to take longer for me (I don't know about u) to actually start losing.

You said it perfectly, Laurie! I say this to myself at least once a day, even as I trudge on with this journey of IE. Today I was weighed at the drs. and in one month I have not lost even ONE ounce. I was positive that at least a couple of pounds had found another home, since I have not been bingeing and seems like I am eating less. But, I also know that this is not about the # on the scale. I blame it on the dr.! I was so discouraged but the fleeting thought to give this up was just that, fleeting. I don't know much, but I do know for sure that this is the ONLY way, at least for me.
