Guest guest
I guess the reason I'm asking is because I don't know if this is Chiari related or not? I was referred to a rhuematologist because of the muscle aches/pains that *I* have been attributing to Chiari and the doc has said is FM... So, they sent me for bloodwork..and it's four pages of tests and results...Everything normal, except these things: adolase - high, C-reactive protein - high, sodium was high, and the ANA test was positive, speckled, titer 1:40. Ok, so I have looked all over for what adolase is, and it says it's a muscle enzyme, but for abnormal results all I'm getting is a fructose intolerance thing...which I'm not..and on the ANA (Anti Nuclear Antibodies) it says Lupus, but only with a titer of 1:160 or over...Sooo.. I'm wondering does anyone know what this means? Does it have anything to do with Chiari..or am I now dealing with something completely separate? I've vented before about how I'm diagnosed with stuff all the time that is " really " chiari (carpel tunnel, fluctuating blood pressure, etc.) but now....I don't know if this is really something different or not???????? I am, of course, going to ask the Rhuematologist about Chiari and these results, but you know how some of the doctors are...Chiari doesn't cause anything...Especially after you've had the surgery (can ya feel the sarcasm?) My Primary Care doc (the only doc I've seen since I got the results) is saying that if it is " what he thinks it is " it's an auto immune disorder, treated with steriods and then I'll be " fine " ...But he wouldn't tell me what he thought it was and it's driving me crazy ;-))) LOL At first, I was just happy to have actual PROOF that my muscles hurt...and now I'm worried. I go to the rhuematologist on Tuesday...but of course it's going to be a long #*() & weekend ;-)) Thanks for any help.... Lots of ((((((HUGS)))))))) Mandy
