Guest guest
Thanks, Jeannie! Sounds like you are definitely making progress with bingeing and recognizing when and why you do it...somthing I usually don't do until it is too late. Lately I have been trying to be aware everytime I eat ANYTHING. Am I hungry? Why am I eating this? If I eat it, how does it taste? I thought I would never get tired of certain foods too, but after having donuts in the house and eating them freely, I realized that some kinds that I thought I loved actually aren't that great. strawberry frosted used to be my favorite, but after sitting down with one at the table and eating it slowly, without distractions, and really tasting it, I realized it tasted very " fake, " articially flavored, and overly sweet. I even threw out one after taking a bite, because it just didn't taste very good. In contrast, in the past when I have been bingeing, I don't thik I even tasted the food...I just ate and everything " tasted good " because it was forbidden. Great idea to just eat what you're craving and focus on turning off the binge switch. I'm pretty sure this is where I will run into the biggest problem, as I binge when stressed/anxious too...but hopefully it will come with time. > > > > > > Hi, > > > > I am new and, having struggled with disordered eating > > (anorexia/bulimia) for several years, am looking very forward to > > permanently changing my begative relationship with food.
