Guest guest
some folks can eat more of one food then I can. some times and not more then one day a week I will have a table spoon only of regular strawberry preserves with my half slice of toast and it doesn't raise my sugar 2 hours later. some one else may eat 2 or 3 table spoons on a whole piece of toast and there sugar didn't rise like mine would have. our bodies are all different. I can drink a glass of milk with breakfast a my sugar will go way high. then I know a fellow who can drink the same amount I did and it only causes his reading to go up less then one fourth of what mine did. he could also eat a whole doughnut and be ok, if he only had one. I on the other hand have tried this long ago and the one doughnut caused my sugar to go to high 2 hours later. I don't like pasta at all, so I'm so lucky there. this is why you get real friendly with your meter and live to trust in what it tells you. write down how much of each food made your sugar rise 2 hours after you ate it. if you don't write it down you will for get over time. different foods do different things to each of us. some can and some can't and fair or not, it is what it is!
