Some nights it seems my son has the wrong reaction to his melatonin. I am

guessing he is converting it to serotonin (other theories are welcome.) He may

be tired and looking sleepy and then I give him his melatonin and he becomes

very happy, laughing, playing and stays up for 8 hours.

This most frequently happens when we increase any sort of pathogen killer (like

diflucan or alinia or OLE) AND/OR when he is showing a little extra OCD

behaviors (he is on augmentin for PANDAS.)

Any thoughts?

Some people can only tolerate very small doses of Melatonin.
