Knowing When a Pen is empty

Hi.

I am Sharlene Kraft. My husband Bob and I are both blind and we have become the

caretakers of my sighted brother who is a diabetic. He has had two strokes so

his movement is limited.

We have been learning more about diabetes than we knew before.

He takes Lantus daily and Humilog before meals, both by pen.

The question we have is how to know when the pen is empty. Does the dial stop

turning when there are no more units, or can it keep turning and not giving any

units.

Thanks for the answer to this, and I'm blad to be here.

Sharlene.
