Guest guest
Thanks Cheryl for share that. Yes, my son had low tyroid function (not dramatic but lowr than normal) on last test (2 y ago). We just starting the iodine complementation (new naturopathe Dr got attention to thins point, nobody before him). My son uses to put a lot of salt into his dishes (if I miss, he can eat it like a cow). But I can't say his tantrums have a specific time of joourney: infortunately, it happens ALL the time... na ----- Message d'origine ---- De : Cheryl À : mb12 valtrex Envoyé le : Lun 21 février 2011, 16h 59min 45s Objet : Re: Re : Anxiety/Crying, Is It Strep Infection or Antibiotic That Is Triggering It? This thread is very interesting and makes me curious. Have any of you seeing these problems tested adrenal function in your kids? Thyroid function? I ask because the crying, anxiety, agression can all be related to those 2. As well as the strep. I am not certain if it would be the PANDAS creating the imbalance, it may be part of the cycle from the strep. It could be the thyroid causing the imbalance which causes the strep or cycle. A vicious circle of doom The lack of iodine, lack of sodium (very important in making Cortisol for the adrenals) infections,antigens(fungus/bacteria) and deficiency of thyroid hormone can cause adrenal insuffiency. It can eventually burn them out so bad in some people they have to take Corticosteroids for the rest of their lives. Some time after i started iodine i had several adrenal issues (mostly my bad cause i wasnt drinking the salt and i wasnt taking enough C). I had felt actual pain in my adrenals. I also felt annoyance at everything. And just at little things. EVERY little thing. I was getting emotional. Sad commercials brought tears. Interrupting me brought anger. Feeling anxious like everything was going to fall apart at any minute. People were just too annoying to deal with. And it was so intense. Much more intense than I had ever felt before.I literally thought i might implode. After i found out i wasnt using enough salt and C and added more I felt extremely better. Night and day better. Thats when the epiphany occured and i realized i had suffered that lesser scale of these intense feelings my entire life. I have come to figure out that when my adrenals are having difficulty i feel the creep of a symptom. If my adrenals are working right i feel good. I like people. Interrupting my project doesnt send me into anger. I dont dwell on the past, or mistakes or fears. I dont cry for stupid reasons. I am able to think past what is upsetting/annoying me and find a solution. Mostly when i feel these things trying to creep in I go drink some salt water. Doesnt happen often anymore. And nothing intense. And its usually in the afternoon right before dinner. Time of day has alot to do with these issues as there are peaks in Cortisol, so if you are seeing behaviors at certain times of day more than others maybe there is a high possiblity that its from adrenal/thyroid/PANDAS cycle. A circle of all 3, rather than a begin and end to one. I do think i had strep before Iodine. Dont know for sure testwise. had most the symptoms, i had a few. I personally think we both were FULL of strep and virus and parasites and metal and fungus. I am starting to think when a person cant kill and/or remove one of these its a good bet they are all lurking in some capacity and why targeting the root cause is better than trying to target one symptom/cause. It's all connected. So the adrenal issue may be another side effect of the strep. Infections can cause adrenal insuffiency, and alot of the symptoms yall describe i think could be adrenal (by my own experience), it makes sense. Something to check out, if you havent already.
