Guest guest
I've been reading the parasite thread, as I realized a few months ago that both my son and I have them. My son has probably had them all his life. Me, from my symptoms, I'd say at least a year before I realized. I don't know if I got them from my son, the dog, swimming at our community pool, or eating something that was contaminated. It is pretty scary to not know what to avoid. I was able to get Biltricide from this fabulous physician's assistant who has no idea why I ask for the things I ask for, but trusts me as she has watched my son improve. The thing is, it was 60 per perscription (we needed 2) and $30 copay for the visit. It did work, but a month later, I was broke and did not follow up with the 30 day later/ get the eggs that hatched thing. I can afford it now, but am wondering if I should shell out bigger bucks and find an experienced physician (with autism/PANDAS as well), continue to use this nice lady who will give me what I want but really is supposed to be handling mental health issues, not medical, or ......has anyone noticed that you can buy generic flagyl, bilticide and nizoral for fish or dogs over the counter at PetSmart? It wouldn't be much cheaper because there is no insurance for pet meds, but I could skip the PA visit with the awkward discussion, copay, and limited amout of meds given with the Rx. Feel free to tell me that I have completely gone offthe deep end, as even I am aware of it. I blame the parasites... Jen
