,

I would love for someone to find me the recipe that was like my moms. See, she always made them from memory and then she quit making them and never wrote it down. I do buy canned ones sometimes and they are just ok.

I used to can but my specialty was pickled garlic dilly beans (green beans). They were so good and a little spicy. I know I have the recipe if anyone is interested. They are yummy on a pickle plate or even in a cocktail. mmmmmmm. I also used to make salsa (so good served warm) and applesauce and apple butter. I don't do all that anymore.

I have to quit talking about food before I raid the refrig. My hubby ate my last chocolate and my girl scout cookies are gone. boohoo.

, if I can make a recommendation, why don't you try doing web

pages? I'm serious. It's kind of like an art form, especially once

you get into making your own graphics and stuff. I spend a lot of

time doing that and it really does take my mind off of things.

Sounds like ya had a hard night, I'm sorry.

Big hugs,

Have you looked into soy products? Soy milk, Edamame(green soybeans?

Tofu? There is another product out there called 'Sam e' which might

also help you. The soy issue has always been hotly debated as to

whether or not it helps with pre/or post menopause. But I hvae many

friends who swear by it. There are a variety of ways to get it into

your diet. But I would try that before going back on birth control

pills. Go to a health food store and ask for suggestions. Most people

are fairly knowledgable about that.

Sorry you feel so 'blah'.

But you know...with everything that goea on with us...have you been

tested to see if you are gluten intolerant? Once my diet changed..it

was night and day for my depression. And that was BEFORE the pred!!

Check it out

Edamame is yummy!! Soy beans. They are so good. Boil for 10 minutes (or is it 15) and drain, cool and peal and eat. They are a great snack.

The best ones I have found are the frozen ones at Trader Joes. Some of the other ones are too salty.
