Good book on sources of toxins is Turning Lead into Gold, by Hallaway. It's out of print but you can still get it on amazon and other places. The book says cadmium is mostly ingested in food, but can also be from air and smoke...sometimes water. I know that a town close to us has a battery plant and those who live there worry about cadmium in the air. I don't see thallium in this book, but we had a huge before and after one time which doc said probably meant it had been recent exposure possibly from pollution on our car and my son wipes his finger across it or exposure to broken light bulbs maybe at school or at a store we'd been to. Even regular light bulbs have toxins that get in the air when they break.

We've never had a repeat of high thallium since. -Crystal
