Guest guest
Hi, I haven't dried Zinco, so I can't compare them. Revlon even out is available in a variety of shades. I used Ivory Beige myself, as I am quite fair. It comes in a tube. It is quite sheer, and contains titanium & zinc oxides as the sunblock. My skin is sensitive and it has never aggravated it. I think a man could use it successfully; it is not visible at all, but tones down the skin. On bad days I usually need extra powder or I add a different foundation on top. It costs around $9, and is widely available. I usually get it at Wal Mart. Guest guest
Hi I saw a discussion on makeup once before. I use Perscriptives. It is in Federated stores Lazarus in our area. I use a green makeup as my first layer. It is sold at Merrill Norman it is waterproof and has SPF for sun block. It works for me. the green covers any red. You can get the L-Lysine cream at any vitamin/health food store in Canada and also at Shoppers Drug Mart. It's made by Quantum and is called L-Lysine Super Plus+ Cream. Quantum also has a website where you can buy it. The toothpaste is called Toms of Maine and you can buy it anywhere they sell natural products - also in drugstores and supermarkets. I think cea is like an allergy, and different people have different triggers. With me it seems to be something in commercial toothpaste - either the fluoride or the anti-tartar stuff, I don't know. I just know it's resulted in a less red face for me, and fewer splotches. In theory, yes, I think if you were to brush your teeth with just plain water for a couple of days (give your system a chance to rid itself of the compounds in the toothpaste) it should work. However, if you happen to have an allergy or a sensitivity to fluoride - a lot of places have fluoride in their drinking water. So try bottled water - see if that makes a difference as well. Good luck - hope it works for someone other than myself Cheers, Nona
Guest guest
Fluoride, peppermint and cinnamon flavors may cause a " companion " skin disease to rosacea called perioral dermatitis if these things are left in your mouth by toothpaste or breath mints. I've had outbreaks of it before. It's like a fine, itchy rash around the mouth. It helps to find a toothpaste that agrees with you (probably w/o fluoride) and to rinse the toothpaste out of your mouth thoroughly. Guest guest
Hi You are allowed two cups of dairy in Phase 1. It has to be either skim or 1% milk , soymilk, or buttermils and plain non-fat yogurt is allowed. June -- New to group Hi, I just joined and thought I would take a minute to introduce myself. I live in Northern llinois, have been married to my hubby for 6 years today and have a 5 year old daughter. I'm a full time student (majoring in Elementary Ed.) and am on Day 3 of the SBD. .......... Also, it's my understanding that milk is not allowed in the first phase, but I saw another post that listed skim milk as part of her daily menu. Is skim okay in this phase? .... Guest guest
I just wanted to say hi to the group. This is my first post. I joined a few days ago. I have never read the book about Intuitive Eating. I saw Geneen Roth on Oprah and bought a couple of her books. I am currently reading Women, Food and God. There is so much in the book that speaks to me and I have had several " aha " moments. Still working through everything and trying to figure out all the emotional stuff. I am not doing the full out intuitive eating yet. But, I have become more aware of my eating issues--when and why. Also working on my self-image and the guilt and not beating myself up so much. Looking forward to this journey. Dee
