Guest guest
Beth Sometimes I feel sorry for some of my " well " friends and family and try to encourage them as they stick in a lifestyle or job or conditions that are not making them happy. I have cousins just older than I am, some with physical problems, but still working, doing things they can't stand to just make it a little further and earn a little more. I understand when its survival but with one its to be able to have two very large homes after retirement when they could retire today, comfortably, with one modest but nice home. I know I would have worked at a job I hated in a very unhealthy environment until I became 66 had I not become disabled. I suspect at 66 I would have through 65 hours a week of work not been in very good condition to enjoy retirement even then. I know every trip I made this year I would have put off in the past. The only reason I made them all this year was that I know there may not be a next year or at least I may not be in condition to make them then. Its a shame we get locked into lives that aren't fulfilling for us but just can't break ourselves free. You would have stayed in the NY office for 20 more years quite possibly. Can you imagine? Whether its in our personal lives and our groups of friends or in work, we all should have found environments that were healthy for us, but often we didn't. It sure is a message for the next generations to always search in life for those things that make them happy. We don't need some of the things we think we must have in life. We do need and everyone deserves happiness. > > > > I gave you all the websites for fun and remembrance of some of the fun > > times we had as kids growing up and to refresh our memories of some of > > the sometimes sad, but beautiful times of being a child and a teenager > > in those eras. > > > > It seems we don't have a WHOLE lot to look forward to, and this is such > > as cool way to remember the way it was. > > > > Love, > > Lou > > > > Walt, Whidbey Island Wa > IPF, NSIP, UIP, DIP 10/06 >
