Guest guest
Check out pandas.net Is your son on the spectrum? 3 times in 2 months with enlarged adnoids and tonsils could be a recipe for disaster for kids who already have a compromised immune system. I would probably want to avoid N/O if you decide to go ahead with the surgery. (I think there are alternatives) But strep is nothing to mess around with --especially with our kids. If you have a dan, I would discuss it with him/her, too. In the mean time, make sure your probiotics don't contain strep...even "healthy strains". And if he's on nystatin, that is derived from strep also. hope your little guy is feeling better soon -tammy To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thu, March 10, 2011 3:25:31 PMSubject: Enlarged Tonsils / Steroid Nasal Spray Took my son to the ENT today on the advice of our ped because he has had strep throat 3 times in 2 months. He said his adenoids and tonsils are huge and need to come out. He also said the strep is probably buried in his tonsils and keeps coming out each time he gets a cold. I really prefer not to have him get surgery if I can avoid it. He also wants him to use a steroid nasal spray to shrink the adenoids. Does anyone have any opinions on the nasal spray or other suggestions that may help? Thank you so much
Guest guest
I had this for 3 years and I had taken zithromax, rifampin, clindamycin, flagyl, minocycline and they never resolved until I started using augmentin. Have you tried this? BTW, we avoid steroids like the plague. With exception to life threatening, I would not weaken the immune system. > > Took my son to the ENT today on the advice of our ped because he has had strep throat 3 times in 2 months.
