Enlarged Tonsils / Steroid Nasal Spray

Took my son to the ENT today on the advice of our ped because he has had strep

throat 3 times in 2 months. He said his adenoids and tonsils are huge and need

to come out. He also said the strep is probably buried in his tonsils and keeps

coming out each time he gets a cold. I really prefer not to have him get

surgery if I can avoid it. He also wants him to use a steroid nasal spray to

shrink the adenoids. Does anyone have any opinions on the nasal spray or other

suggestions that may help? Thank you so much.
