Guest guest
My son is 4.5 year old and recently he was found to have serious tooth decay in his 2 upper central incisor teeth. One is so serious that his pediatric dentist asked us to consider root canal to avoid damage to the nerves. The dentist said he would use local anesthesia to reduce the pain during the treatment, but I am too concerned about the side effects of the anesthesia, and am also concerned about any possible trauma that he might develop. Any experienced parents, please give me some advice. Should I delay or avoid the root canal? If the treatment is inevitable what should I do to prepare for the treatment? We will see the dentist next week. --
