Hi ,

You probably already know this, but just in case, B-12 absorption is often

hindered by low stomach acid.

from zinc. Maybe that's why. I know my one daughter has issues with using b12

(it just hangs out outside the cells).

an RBC Elements test. The serum zinc is at a normal level (high normal, even),

but his red blood cell zinc is deficient. So he is getting enough zinc, but it

isn't going into his red blood cells. His doctor is putting him on MTP because

one of the things it does is help get zinc into the blood cells.

benefits of zinc supplementation. If it isn't getting into his red blood cells,

then it isn't getting into other cells and is just taking a ride in his serum,

right? :)

supplementing zinc but not seeing the expected results from it.
