Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Because Vitamin D is one is one of the nutrients the majority of us are deficient in, I thought I'd share a couple of points about it I've recently learned: 1) Vitamin requires magnesium for proper absorbtion - so make sure you and your kiddo are getting plenty. You can give them 1,000,000 iu's a day, but if there is no magnesium to assist, its a complete waste of time. 2) when a person is outside getting sun exposure, the vitamin D is manufactured in the skin. So jumping in a pool of chlorine will wash it away. Showering and scrubbing it all away with soap will, too. Now I give my kids their D after shower time. Because my older guy lives in the pool from june-september, I'll probably supplement atleast a little all summer this year. hth someone. -tammy
