Guest guest Posted April 5, 2012 Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 Well, when i woke up at about 4 am today i checked my sugar andit was 123 or something like that so I did not give myself insulin, however i woke up next at nine am and my sugar was 62. I drank a regular dr pepper and checked my sugar again at noon. It was 197 even an hour after insulin for the sugar soda. Guest guest Posted April 5, 2012 Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 For a 63 BG, usually 4-6 oz. Of a real coke or juice is enoughg to get the BG up to a more normal range. Obviously the while can was too much. I used to eat or drink until I felt better. Wrong. There is a science to it. If you are 60, let's say, and you want it to be around 100, work on figuring out how many glucose tablets or juice, or a combination, will raise it 40 points.
