Need crash course on adrenals

I keep reading about adrenals and it's time for me to ask...are you referring to

the adrenal gland on the kidney that excretes adrenaline? How does this get

" stressed " and what are the signs and what can I do to test them? is this common

in autism? How do you treat the adrenals? What symptoms would change if the

adrenals were treated?
